DATE OF SETANTA SEMI DEPENDS ON OPPONENTS
Last Monday night St Patrick's Athletic secured a home semi-final draw against the runners-up of Group 1 of the Setanta Sports Cup following a 1-0 defeat of Cork. The club would like to advise supporters that, contrary to information already released, the date for that semi-final has not yet been set.
Should the Saints face either Derry City or Drogheda United, the semi-final will take place in Richmond Park on Monday 23rd April 2007 at 8:05pm, to be broadcast live on Setanta Sports.
However if Linfield finish as runners-up in Group 1 the match will take place on Monday 30th April 2007 at 8:05pm, broadcast live on Setanta Sports. Linfield's draw with Ballymena United in the Irish Cup quarter final meant the scheduling of a replay in an already congested fixture list. As a result, their semi-final match was moved to Tuesday 24th April 2007 meaning that they can only play their Setanta Sports Cup semi-final on Monday 30th April 2007.
