St Pat's Announce New Club Sponsor

St Patrick's Athletic FC is delighted to announce a new sponsorship agreement with Paddy Power, Ireland's biggest bookmaker. This three year deal will see the Paddy Power logo appear on the famous shirts worn by St Patrick's Athletic to the end of the 2009 season.

St Patrick's new Director of Football Brian Kerr said everyone in the club was excited about the agreement. “Paddy Power is one of Ireland's most dynamic leading brands so, while the financial assistance will help the club, the potential for St Pats to be working with one of the most creative marketing teams in Ireland makes the sponsorship the best available to any Irish club.

“We've had a great start to the season and while it is early days I think Paddy Power recognises that this club has greater potential than any other in the Irish market. Paddy Power is the best in the business at finding innovative ways of promoting and selling its own product. As well as the strong financial terms of this sponsorship working with them will help us find novel ways of getting people to come and watch St Patrick's Athletic at our home in Richmond Par”, he said.

Paddy Power, Head of Communication for the new sponsors said “as a long time sponsor of the FAI we are no stranger to supporting Irish Football however this is our first venture into League of Ireland football. We feel St Patrick's is the perfect fit for us. The club's ambitious plans for development over the coming years are both visionary and exciting and we're delighted to be part of it. On a practical note St. Pat's fans are some of the shrewdest punters around and we're glad to be on their side of the fence for once!”.
