St Pats U21 3 - Bray Wanderers U21 0
A Luke Fitzpatrick first half goal and two second half strikes from Christy Doran moved the Saints to within 5 points of Bray and 6 of UCD at the top of the South Leinster section of the Dr Tony O'Neill Under 21 League.
The Pats side, who also have 3 and 2 games in hand on Bray and UCD respectively, started the brighter of the two sides and after twenty minutes a Chrsity Doran cross found Luke Fitzpatrick who tucked it away to give his side the lead.
Doran himself should have made it two before the break when he sent his shot, from Robbie Smith's cutback, straight at the Bray goalkeeper.
It was Smith's turn to miss a chance when just four minutes after the break he shot wide after being picked out by a Stephen Quigley cross.
With twenty minutes to go Bray were reduced to ten men and Paul Osam's side took complete control.
An Ian Maher free kick from the left wasn't cleared properly by the Bray defence and Christy Doran turned and shot into the roof of the net to make it two nil with just fifteen minutes left on the clock.
Just three minutes later Doran was given the simplest opportunity to make it three. Ian Maher's through ball found Robbie Smith who unselfishly squared it to Doran to pass into an empty net.
St Pats: Clarke; Quigley, Perth, O'Shea, Frost; Fitzpatrick, Maher (Doyle G. 79), Reilly (Hayden 67), Doran; Darcy (Fitzsimons 79), Smith.
