Fahey Leaves Saints For Birmingham

St Patrick's Athletic have today finalised details of midfielder Keith Fahey's transfer to Birmingham City.

Fahey joins the Midlands club following a fabulous season with the Saints in which he was named as the PFAI Player of the Year.

"Keith has improved tremendously all season and fully deserves the chance to further his career on the bigger stage.

"I think the way he has progressed during his time at the club is also a great reflection on John McDonnell and the rest of his staff, said Chief Executive, Richard Sadlier.

"On behalf of St Pats and the supporters I would like to thank Keith for his commitment to the club over the last few seasons and to wish him the very best at Birmingham City".

Twenty-five year old Fahey, who had spells with Arsenal and Aston Villa in his teens returns to the UK to join Alex McLeish's team in their promotion challenge to the Premiership.
