PALMERSTOWN SCHOOL VISIT
St Pat's visited St Lorcan's Boys National School in Palmerstown today and helped spread the healthy eating message to almost 200 children at the school.
At the end of a short presentation on the value of a healthy and balanced diet, each student is given a St Pat's goodie bag with a team poster, match programme, food pyramid table, player stickers, a club branded ruler and a club branded fridge magnet.
We ask the children to put the fridge magnet to use as a reminder to include dairy products as part of a healthy and balanced diet, to enjoy their food, to keep active and of course to support St Pat's.
Bobby Ryan was on hand to endorse the message with club – drinking more milk when he was younger might have led to stronger bones and possibly fewer injuries later on in his career.
Bobby also talked about winning league championship medals with Bohemians and Shelbourne and how he would love to complete the treble this season in winning the league with St Pats.
The club looks forward to returning to the school in near future and to welcoming students from St Lorcan's to a match night at Richmond Park.
