LATVIAN AMBASSADOR TO ATTEND RICHMOND PARK

The Latvian Ambassador Indulis Abelis will be guest of honour of St Patrick's Athletic's game on Friday night when the Saints entertain Dundalk FC at Richmond Park.

St Pat's have recently signed Latvian Gints Freimans for the 2009 League of Ireland season while fellow countrymen Robert Mezeckis and Guntars Silagailis have both joined Cork City.

“It will be a true pleasure to be at Richmond Park and mark the fact that the Latvian player Gints Freimanis has joined St. Patrick's Athletic Football Club.

This is another occasion where we can see how sport brings people, communities and countries together.

The Latvian people have been quite active in Irish sports and it is delightful to see players from my own country now playing in the League of Ireland.

I believe the entire Latvian community would join me in wishing them every success over the coming season” - Indulis Abelis, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia.

St Patrick's Athletic's match against Dundalk kicks off at 7.45pm on Friday night at Richmond Park for further match details log on to www.stpatsfc.com .
