MANAGER'S COMMENT:
“We always knew that Saturday night was going to be tough.

Waterford play direct football and we didn't cope as well as we should have with some of their play.

In the second half we started to play some good football and eventually we got the goal that we deserved. For Tuesday night we'll need to start the match in the same way we played in the second half.

At the moment we've got 2 out of our 3 recognised centre halves out injured so being able to call on a versatile player like Stuart Byrne is a god send.

He slotted in well at the back on Saturday, won more than his fair share of headers and made a big contribution for us on the night” – Jeff Kenna.
