FAHEY BECOMES PATRON SAINT
Keith Fahey, who helped kick start Ireland'S European Championship Qualification campaign with a vital goal against Armenia last week, has agreed to become a Patron Saint for his former club St Patrick's Athletic FC.
This Friday, September 10th, sees the official launch of 'Patron Saints', the new fans' funding initiative at St Patrick's Athletic aimed at boosting the club's development both on and off the field. The scheme will be run both by the supporters and the club and it is seen as a key development in the future of the club.
Former Saint, Keith Fahey took time out from international duty to sign up and become the inaugural member of the scheme.
On becoming a Patron Saint, Keith said
"St Patrick's Athletic and their fans have always been very good to me, similar schemes have proven very successful at other clubs so hopefully together we can get the scheme up and running and working for the Saints as well”.
Pat's fans are well known for their loyalty and commitment to the club and it is hoped that they will again show their passion by joining the scheme.
There are different levels of membership for both individuals and companies and further details are available here.
Patron Saint application forms are available online here, from the club and from the supporters' kiosk in the ground from Friday.
