PADDY THE PANTHER ALL SET FOR MASCOT RACE
Having completed the Dublin City Marathon last year, St Pat's Paddy the Panther is feeling confident ahead of this year's end of season MNS club mascot race which takes place on Friday.
Paddy the Panther is currently hard at work in training as he prepares to do the club proud but he took time out to share his thoughts with STPATSFC.COM on the big race:
“I don't know the full line up at this stage but I wouldn't be too worried about Bray's Rocky the Seagull or Dundalk's Lilly the Panda.
Sligo's Benny the Bull could be a bit of a dark horse and Terry the Tiger could be a bit of a threat.
Boh's Denis the Menace is likely to be up to his old tricks and I wouldn't trust that Fox from Fingal. Rovers' Hooperman is flying high at the moment so I think he might need to be brought crashing down to earth!”.
Whatever happens it's going to be totally animal – it will be the law of the jungle out there, a real dog eat dog, panther eat panda race - let's bring it on, ARRRRHH!”.
All fans are reminded that the St Patrick's Athletic Supporters' Club Player of the Year night takes place on 20th November at The Spa Hotel, Lucan.
Tickets are priced at €20 and are on sale at the Saint Superstore on Emmet Road - all are welcome to attend but tickets are limited.
