St Patrick's Athletic 1-1 Shamrock Rovers

St Pats gained a well-earned point to keep them in the European race tonight against Shamrock Rovers.

Substitute Danny North scored a fantastic equaliser in the 68th minute after a good cross from left full Ian Bermingham. North hit a low effort across hoops keeper Ryan Thomson to cancel out Stephen O'Donnell's early strike.

O'Donnell's goal came in the 19th from a poorly cleared corner by the saints, with the Rovers man smashing a low shot down to Gary Rogers left in front of the delighted traveling crowd.
