St Patrick's Athletic Win SSE Airtricity U19 League
St Patrick's Athletic won the SSE Airtricity U19 League for the first time when they defeated Derry City in the final at Maginn Park, Buncrana.
Watched by Republic of Ireland Under-19 international boss, Paul Doolin and Premier Division managers Peter Hutton and Liam Buckley, both sides served up a close encounter that was in doubt to the very end.
George Kelly headed Derry into an early lead but Rory Feely equalised on 23 minutes.
The Dubliners took the lead two minutes after the break when Jamie McGrath tapped home after excellent work by Jack Bayly.
Ten minutes from time St Pat's stretched their lead when McGrath chipped the keeper from 25 yards and although Derry pulled back a goal on 85 minutes when Kelly notched his second of the game, the Inchicore side held on to lift the Dr Tony O'Neill Cup.
