Team News: St Patrick's Athletic Vs Cork City

St Patrick's Athletic host Cork City on Monday night in Richmond Park as they look to secure the win that will guarantee them European football next season (kick-off 7.45pm).

After A 2-1 win last Friday thanks to goals from Conan Byrne and Christy Fagan, the Saints know that two points from their remaining two games would guarantee them fourth place in the SSE Airtricity League and qualification to the 2016/17 season Europa League next season.

In team news, Liam Buckley welcomes Sean Hoare, Jason McGuinness and Greg Bolger back from suspension, while Kenny Browne has also returned to training and is available for selection. Captain Ger O'Brien and goalkeeper Brendan Clarke remain injured.

"We'd a good win on Friday over Drogheda," admitted Saints' manager Liam Buckley when speaking to stpatsfc.com. "The players needed to battle hard for the points and did enough to get the win, with Christy Fagan getting a great goal to win it."

"We now have to re-focus quickly and get ready for Cork. They have had a good season again under John Caulfield and have a strong squad of players. We know they have lots of strength in depth across their squad so whatever team John selects, we will have a tough challenge."

Kick-off in Inchicore on Monday night is 7.45pm; St Patrick's Athletic vs Cork City.
