The Saints Under 21 team cruised to another league victory over Bohemians today. New signings were to the fore with 20 year old Brenton Leister making an impressive debut in midfield, 18 year old former Belvedere and Home Farm star Kevin Cornwall who netted the first goal and 20 year old Kenny Hammond who replaced the injured Cornwall and scored the second.

Saints were in front inside five minutes when Cornwall cooly finished while the Bohs defence hesitated. Soon after Sean O'Connor hit the side netting before a Cornwall chip over the keeper just cleared the crossbar.

Bohs first effort came on 15 minutes when Clarke grabbed a Heary shot without too much difficulty.

Saints second goal came through more Bohs hesitancy. Sean O'Connor ran from his own half to collect a ball over the top before squaring for Hammond to finish into an open goal.

O'Connor had a shot deflected onto the crossbar by the keeper four minutes into the second half.

The remainder of the half saw further good running by O'Connor and Leister creating chances. Bohs were left to try shots from distance which were easily dealt with by Clarke.
