Date: 24/06/2005 Venue: Richmond Park St Patrick's Athletic 0 - Drogheda United 2Goal Scorers:
MARK LEECH opened his account as a Drogheda United player with a starring double at rain-soaked Richmond Park last night.
Leech, son of former Shamrock Rovers legend Mick, fired home either side of the break to enable Drogheda arrest a two-game losing streak in the league and consolidate their position in the top four.
St Pat's, on the other hand, have seen relegation rivals Finn Harps move to within two points of them and will wake up this morning pondering what might have been if they'd shown the same clinical finishing as Leech.
The hosts, superior for the first 45 minutes, went into the break a goal down after Drogheda's first shot on target found the net, Leech heading home from Sami Ristilla's cross.
Leech struck again on the hour-mark, sidestepping Darragh Maguire before scoring with a clinical effort.
