VINNY PERTH preserved St Parick's Athletic's unbeaten run with a last-gasp strike at the Showgrounds last night.
All of the action was packed into three minutes of stoppage time at the end of the game. Rovers had taken the lead in the 91st minute when Keith Foy scored from the penalty spot after Adam Hughes was brought down.
Earlier, St Patrick's enjoyed a purple patch between the 70th and 8th minutes with Perth going close on two occasions. Chances, however, were few and far between in a dull first half.
Rovers' Darren Mansaram caused some anxious moments for the visitors going close on 14 minutes while St Pat's Mark Rutherford was impressive throughout pumping good balls into the Reds' goal but no clear-cut chance came and all the real drama was left until injury time.
