Preview: Bohs Vs Saints

Bohemians and Saint Patrick's Athletic meet in an unusually low key Dublin derby at Dalymount Park on Friday night. In terms of the league there's very little for either to still play for, although the Saints are currently sixth, two points ahead of Bohs.

It may be a mid-table battle to decide the highest finishing Dublin side behind Shelbourne but UCD could also win this battle. The Saints' focus is likely to have switched to their FAI Cup semi-final at the end of the month. Manager John McDonnell may well base his team selections for league games on keeping his best eleven available for the game against Shamrock Rovers.

Bohemians are still without a permanent manager and although the story changes every week, the smart money is still on current Shels boss Pat Fenlon.

There hasn't been a whole lot between the teams in recent meetings although the Saints last win over Bohs came in June 2005, five games ago. Bohs won the last meeting but departed manager Gareth Farrelly was the scorer of the only goal in that game.

The Saints should be able to call on the same side which won against Drogheda last weekend.

Jason McGuinness is suspended for Bohs while Stephen Caffrey is unavailable as he is on loan from St. Pats. Vinny Arkins, Dessie Byrne, Mark Leech and Fergal Harkin all seem set to miss out through injury.
