THE bottom line last Sunday was that Derry City were the better team.

I (Pat Dolan) really fancied Pat’s do to it and anyone can lose a cup final, but the bottom line is if you score three goals and each time you don’t keep the lead then you don’t deserve to win.

Once again the Derry City fans were incredible. And the reception they gave their players when it went to extra-time was extraordinary.

But the issue now is where will next year’s final be played? Will it be Croke Park — which I doubt will be available?

It certainly can’t be Dalymount or Tolka though. It’s time for some imagination in finding a venue to suit the occasion.

A new sponsor is on board, so there is no better time to really sell this competition to the public.

Find the right venue and start selling the tickets and selling the new brand now.
