ATHLONE TOWN boss John Gill has made two further additions to his squad, bringing in Anthony Flood and Peter Rodgers.

Flood, a highly rated striker joins the Club on loan from St. Patrick's Athletic until the end of the season. The 21-year-old has seen action for the St. Pat's first team in three of their last four League games.

"He's a young 21-year-old front player. He has tremendous technique, holds the ball up very well, and has a bit of pace about him as well. I think that was an area we needed to strengthen," said John Gill

He continued, "I've worked with Peter in Kilkenny and Kildare. He was also away with Tranmere Rovers for three years. He's a very big physical midfield player. He's a very technical player, and can use both feet. If I can get him fit, he will be a great addition to the team."
