St Patrick's Athletic V Galway United

St Patrick's Athletic will hope to add to Galway United's off-field woes when the sides meet at Richmond Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

The players have agreed to defer their wages the help the club through financial difficulties, which could see some of the team's top players sold during the transfer window.

The odds on Galway upsetting the formbook are long as St Pat's have won the previous two meetings this season 2-0, although last weekend's result at Drogheda United will give them hope.

St Pat's lead the way from Bohemians and assistant manager John Gill has admitted that they need to win tonight to keep the champions at bay.

Gill said: 'Galway are on a very good run and had a good result away to Drogheda last week. They will be dangerous opponents. We've beaten them twice already this season and like a wounded foe, they will no doubt be out to prove a point.

'We're on a decent run ourselves and we need to keep that momentum going. This is a critical part of the season and we really need to maintain our form, especially our home form.'

St Pat's will be without the suspended Damian Lynch and Shane Lynch, while Garrett Coughlan (leg) and Neil Harney (ankle) are injured.

Meanwhile, former Grimsby Town striker Danny North has signed on at Inchicore, but Dan Connor has moved to Hereford Town.
