Shamrock Rovers V St Patrick's Athletic

The Premier Division's top two sides meet tonight as Shamrock Rovers host Dublin rivals St Patrick's Athletic at Tallaght Stadium, kick-off 8pm.

St Pat's lead Rovers by two points but the Hoops have played a game more, while champions Bohemians are lurking a further two points behind.

Rovers will take confidence from the weekend's victory at Sligo Rovers and manager Michael O'Neill knows it is a realistic chance to go top of the table.

O'Neill said: 'There is no doubt that this is a big game for us. Pat's have done excellent so far this season. But we went to Inchicore earlier in the season and got an impressive win.

'They also won in Tallaght, so the away team has had the upper hand so far this season, but we'll be looking to change that.

'This is a chance for us to go top of the league and we'll be doing our utmost to be there at the end of the 90 minutes.'

Dessie Baker (Achilles) is the only doubt for Rovers, but O'Neill is hopeful he can make it. Pat Sullivan is once again sidelined with a knee injury.

St Pat's welcome back Damien Lynch and Shane Guthrie from suspension, but Gareth Coughlan (leg) and Neil Harney (ankle) are injured.
