Paddy Kavanagh’s last minute own goal snatched a 2-2 draw for St Patrick’s Athletic against Shamrock Rovers in the FAI Cup semi-final at Tallaght Stadium.
The two teams will meet again on Tuesday night at Richmond Park for the right to face Sligo Rovers in the Aviva Stadium final.
Rovers were headed into the lead by Chris Turner in the 16th minute after Billy Dennehy’s floated free from the right.
Dave McAllister, however, levelled the tie when he side-footed Danny North’s pass home from 12 yards out.
The teames were level at halftime but Rovers got what looked to be the winner in the 64th minute when Gary Twigg brilliantly headed Stephen Rice’s cross home.
Their woeful week continued, however, when Kavanagh found his own net in injury time.
