Faroe Islands manager Brian Kerr could miss his team's friendly against Scotland after suffering a family bereavement.
The former Republic of Ireland manager has returned to his home country but may travel back to Aberdeen before Tuesday night's fixture.
Kerr's assistant, former St Patrick's manager John McDonnell, will take control at Pittodrie if he does not make it.
McDonnell said: 'I've got a lot of European experience with St Patrick's Athletic and with the Football Association of Ireland at under-20 level. So that won't be a problem.'
