Shelbourne have yet to complete the signing of veteran defender Curtis Fleming, raising fears that the move could yet fall through.

Fleming, who made a guest appearance for former club St Patrick’s Athletic against Hearts 10 days ago, had reportedly agreed a four-month deal with Shels after speaking with Reds manager Pat Fenlon earlier this week.

However, the eircom League champions have revealed that nothing has yet been agreed – and that any deal would rely on Fleming relocating to Dublin for the duration of his stay.

That could put the move in doubt, as the former Middlesbrough and Darlington man is known to be settled in England’s north-east.
