St Patrick’s Athletic boss Johnny McDonnell has ruled out any possibility of Joseph Ndo joining title-rivals Bohemians.

Ndo has been a frustration for McDonnell this season, midfielder only proving fit enough to play on three occasions since the start of the season.

The player is believed to be keen on a move across Dublin, but McDonnell says there is no chance that Bohs – who trail Pat’s on goal difference at the top of the eircom League table but have a game in hand – will be getting their hands on his man, who still has 18 months left on his Richmond Park deal.

“There is no way that Joseph is going to Bohemians, who are our main title rivals,” McDonnell was quoted as saying by The Irish Star.

“Joseph is a very talented player so we won’t allow him to join Bohs.”

McDonnell’s men can go three points clear of Bohs if they beat Shamrock Rovers on Monday evening and the significance of the game is not lost on McDonnell.

“It’s a match that Rovers will relish, but that also applies to us,” the Pat’s manager added.

“The league is becoming very interesting and it is at a crucial stage.”
