St Patrick's Athletic will welcome Monaghan United to Richmond Park, kick-off 7.45pm, with both sides looking to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the FAI Ford Cup.

They couldn't be separated in their 0-0 draw at Kingspan Century Park last month, and Monaghan kindly agreed to push the replay date back to facilitate the Saints' Europa League campaign.

But following their 5-1 aggregate loss to Steaua Bucharest, Jeff Kenna's men must now concentrate on domestic matters.

Maintaining Premier Division status is the foremost concern for the Inchicore outfit, but a good cup run would lift their spirits in what has been a largely disappointing season.

Both sides come into the game on the back of defeats on Friday night. Pat's went down 1-0 to Shamrock Rovers, while Monaghan slumped to a 3-0 reverse at home to First Division leaders Shelbourne.

However, before that Mons had gone on a six-match unbeaten run, and manager Mick Cooke will be hoping his men can rediscover that form for their trip to the capital.

Shane Grimes is available to Cooke again after suspension, but Sean Brennan remains out through injury.
