UCD and St Patrick's Athletic meet in tonight’s Airtricity League Premier Division clash at Richmond Park, kick-off 7.45pm.
The Students travel to Inchicore knowing they have not won at Richmond Park since 2005.
And College boss Martin Russell must plan without Sean Harding and Cillian Morrison, although the pair are back in training and should return to first team action in the next few weeks.
UCD boss Martin Russell said: “We are looking for a better performance than against Bohemians last week, and with the atmosphere in Richmond Park their will be no better game to bounce back in. We are looking forward to the challenge facing us in Inchicore."
Several St Pat’s players will also be coming face to face with their former club as David McMillan, Evan McMillan, Shane McFaul, Ian Bermingham, Conor Kenna, Derek Doyle and Brian Shortall all plied their trade at UCD.
Saints boss Pete Mahon must plan without skipper Conor Kenna as the centre-half remains injured but otherwise Saints have a strong squad to choose from.
Mahon said: “From my perspective it doesn’t make any difference that it’s an old club that we’re playing against. My only interest now is doing well for St Pat’s and we can’t worry about other teams.
“Some of the players will be playing against their old club but I don’t think it comes to into it. We’re looking for three points in every game and that’s what is on offer regardless of the opponents.”
