Tardelli To Attend Setanta Cup Match At Richmond Park
Marco Tardelli, assistant to the new Ireland manager Giovanni Tappatoni will attend St Patrick's Athletic's Setanta Cup match against Linfield at Richmond Park this evening. While no eircom league of Ireland player has included in the recent preliminary 40- man Irish national squad – the match will present an opportunity for St Pat's to showcase some of the young talent in their side, including:
Mark Quigley who was awarded the PFAI young player of the year for the 2007 season during which he scored 19 goals in 44 games for the club.
Saints midfielder Keith Fahey has arguably been the outstanding performer in the new season to date and picked up the Eircom/SWAI Player-of-the-Month award in March for his efforts.
Joe O'Cearuill, who joined the Saints in the off season, already has two full international caps from the tour to the US last year and recently featured for the under-21s against Montenegro.
The match against Linfield kicks off at 8.05pm this evening at Richmond Park.
