BERLIN HOME LEG CONFIRMED

St Patrick's Athletic can confirm that the home leg of the UEFA Cup First Round tie with Hertha Berlin will take place in the RDS, Ballsbridge on Tuesday, 30th September 2008 with a 5 p.m. kick-off.

Further to the statement of CEO Richard Sadlier on Tuesday last we are now in a position to offer supporters, who made arrangements to travel to Berlin for the original date of the away leg, a package which will be assessed on a person to person basis.

Anybody who made travel arrangements on Friday, August 29th are asked to contact the club by email (info@stpatsfc.com) with contact information, full booking details/documents and particular of losses incurred by this Thursday, 11th September at 5 p.m. A member of staff will then contact each person in early course.

We once again acknowledge the frustration caused to fans due to the fixture change and hope that the above package will go some way to compensating supporters who have been left out of pocket.

Despite recent reports, the club do not stand to make the sums of money quoted in the media from this tie. We do however acknowledge that the support of our fans in Europe this season has been a credit to the club and has come at enormous expense for most.

We hope that this offer will assist fans to continue this support for the remainder of this season's European adventure, however long that may be.
