Ireland Secure Draw At Richmond

Republic of Ireland secured a 1-1 draw in the 1st Leag of the Women's Euro 2009 Championship Play-Off match at Richmond Park.

Stefanie Curtis' second half equaliser may prove crucial if Ireland are to qualify.

Team: Emma Byrne (Arsenal); Alisha Moran (Fulham), Yvonne Treacy (Arsenal), Niamh Fahey (Arsenal), Meabh Da Burcha (Salthill Devon); Ciara Grant (Arsenal), Sonya Hughes (Dundalk), Mary Therese McDonnell (Boston Renegades); Aine O'Gorman (Stella Maris), Michele O'Brien (Jerseys Sky Blue), Stefanie Curtis (Bristol Academy).
Substitutes: Olivia O'Toole (Raheny United) for Hughes (60 mins), Jemma O'Connor (Birmingham Ladies) for Curtis (90 mins)

The 2nd leg is due to be played on Thursday, October 30th at the Laugardalsvöllur Stadium in Iceland.
