PAT’S KICK OFF FAI FUTSAL CUP
St Pat's Futsal team will kick off their 2010 FAI Futsal Cup competition this Saturday on January 30th.
Winners in 2008 and runners up in 2009, St Pat's have been drawn in the Leinster Group 1 along with Shamrock Rovers, Blue Magic and FAS. Matches will take place at the BRL Umbro Arena, Ballymun, Dublin 11 on Saturday at the following times:
12.40 St Patrick's Athletic v Blue Magic
2pm St Patrick's Athletic v FAS
3.20 St Patrick's Athletic v Shamrock Rovers
The top two teams will qualify for the quarter final stages of the competition. All Pat's supporters are encouraged to come along on the day and give the team their full support.
The team have plans to develope futsal at the club and are working with schoolboy managers to incorporate members of the St Pat's U16 team into the squad. Involving young Irish players in this new and dynamic sport it is hoped will also give them additional skills and opportunities.
