St Patrick's Athletic 0-1 Drogheda United

Saints suffered their first loss of the season – and Drogheda gained their first win - as young defender Eoghan Osbourne, who only turned 18 two weeks ago, scored from a free kick in the final minute of additional time to seal the points for Alan Matthews side at Richmond.

Pete Mahon will be disappointed that his charges failed to take their chances in a lively second half with Conor Kenna, Stuart Byrne and Paul Byrne all going close for Saints who are now level with Dundalk at the top of the Premier Division but slip to 2nd spot on goals scored.

A large crowd at Inchicore looked on in disbelief as Drogs staged a smash and grab win that now sees them go three matches unbeaten whilst Saints fans will be hoping for a bounce back from Mahon’s men as they face into four matches in eleven days – three of which are against Sligo Rovers (including the two legs of the Setanta Cup semi-final).
