TEAM NEWS: ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC V BOHEMIANS

St Patrick's Athletic will be aiming to make up for their recent Setanta Cup final defeat when they once again take on their Dublin rivals Bohemians in the Airtricty League on Friday night.

The Saints are currently a point behind Dundalk and Rovers at the top of the Premier division with a game in hand.

Team News

Vinny Faherty and Ian Bermingham return to the squad having lined out for Irish Under 23 squad against the senior side during the week.

Midfielder David McAllister is suspended, club captain Damain Lynch is out with a hamstring injury and Brian Cash is also out with a thigh strain.

Conor Kenna has recovered from a recent illness and Pete Mahon is hopeful that striker Paul Byrne will be available after a recent knee injury.

Manager's Comments

“It's a great opportunity to come back from the disappointment of last week.

I think anybody watching the game would have said that there was very little between the teams.

The Setanta game will have no bearing on tomorrow only to serve perhaps as a motivation.

We respect Bohemians as league champions but we don't fear them, I'm expecting a good performance and a win” – St Pat's Manager Pete Mahon.
