SAINTS NEW STRIKER VISITS LOCAL SOCCER CLUB

Danny North, the Saints’ newly signed striker took time out last week to visit a Summer soccer camp in Drimnagh run by local club St John Bosco.

Over 80 young footballers attended the camp and with plenty of young Saints fans present there were plenty willing to quiz Danny on being a footballer and to take him on in the St Pat’s target challenge.

From the age of 10, North had played schoolboy football with his hometown club Grimbsy FC before going on to make his professional debut as a 17 year old.

After five years at Grimbsy the 22 year old striker needed a change and has recently made the move across the Irish Sea and is looking forward to making an impact with the Saints in the Airtricity League.

Danny’s priority now is to get himself 100% match fit and help St Pat’s to challenge for silverware this season.

St Patrick’s Athletic’s next home game in the Airtricity league is against Sporting Fingal on Sunday July 25th with a 3.00pm kick off at Richmond Park.

As part of a special celebration of Dublin as European Capital of Sport 2010 all children with a paying adult will be admitted free to the game.
