Saints player Ryan Guy is due to visit the Red Star academy in Walkinstown this Saturday morning along with one or two other players from the Pat's first team squad.

Any young footballers aged from 5 to 10 years of age are welcome to come along to the open training sessions held every Saturday in Bunting Road, Walkinstown from 11.00 to 12.30 and run by qualified Pat's coaches.

Looking forward to visiting the Red Stars, Ryan said “growing up in the States my first love was always soccer but I also played a bit of basketball, American football and did some track and field”.

“While it's great to see kids playing soccer”, he added, “ it's just so important for young people to get involved in sport, to enjoy whatever sport they choose and to keep fit and healthy”.

Ryan is pictured on a visit last week to a soccer camp in Knockmitten run by Clondalkin Youth Services where he received a great welcome and was even persuaded to give a demonstration of his special somersault throw-in!

Do feel free to come along on Saturday to see Ryan and co. on their visit.
