COMMUNITY DAY AT ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC
St Patrick’s Athletic once again hosted the annual garda soccer match between Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda Stations at Richmond Park on Tuesday.
Invitations to attend were sent to the sixteen local primary schools in Dublin 8 and over 350 pupils turned up for the lunchtime kick off in Inchicore.
The Saints’ mascot Paddy the Panther was on hand to give out sweets, chocolate and team posters, a free raffle was held for club goodies and representatives from all schools present were invited to participate in a halftime football challenge.
The game itself ended 0-0 with Kevin Street Gardai eventually winning 7-6 on penalties to claim bragging rights over their colleagues for another year.
Only a limited number of tickets remain for the Supporter's Club player of the year night on 20th November at the Spa Hotel, Lucan. Tickets are available from the club shop, priced 20euro.
