SAINTS V. ROVERS – MEDIA WATCH

The Sports pages on this Good Friday build up tonight's clash in Inchicore as the most interesting tie so far in the new Airtricity League Premier Division season.

The Irish Independent speaks to Saints' midfielder James Chambers about his return to Irish football following a spell in Scotland with Hamilton.

Chambers also features in the Irish Daily Mail alongside a piece by Damien Richardson who says that tonight's game “quite simply, grips the imagination”.

Ger O'Brien features in the Irish Sun about his place in Gary Twigg's move to Shamrock Rovers and about facing his former club tonight.

The Irish Times, The Irish Daily Star and The Irish Daily Mirror all feature Saints' full back Ian Bermingham who is adamant that St Pats should be challenging for a trophy this season while Pat Dolan in the Irish Daily Star agrees and says that with Liam Buckley and Trevor Croly in charge “it is not about being contenders, it's about being champions”.

On a different note The Irish Daily Star, The Irish Daily Mirror and the Irish Daily Mail all cover the Saints new link up with the Joe Kavanagh Foundation, sponsors of tonight's game, which also featured in the Irish Sun earlier this week.
