Saints Climb To 2nd Following Win

St Patrick's Athletic's impressive start to the season continued following tonight's 2-0 against Derry City in the Brandywell.

The win moved the Saints up to second in the table overtaking Drogheda United and Shamrock Rovers who both dropped points tonight.

It was another impressive performance on the road from Liam Buckley's men who were unfortunate not to leave the Showgrounds last week with more than a point.

Tonight, goals from Darren Meenan and Sean O'Connor secured the win for the Saints, their 5th in 10 league games.

Next week the Saints host Cork City in the last game of the first series of matches.
