Saints Outclass Shels

The Saints turned on the style tonight beating Shelbourne 4-0 at Richmond Park.

Three goals from Chris Forrester and one from Conan Byrne secured all 3 points for the Saints who climbed to 3rd in the table following the win.

Dave Ryan made his first league appearance of the season after Brendan Clarke picked up an injury in the warm-up.

The former Limerick 'keeper was tested twice in the first half as Shels pressed for the opener.

However, it was the Saints who took the lead just before the break thanks to Forrester's first of the evening.

Ten minutes into the second half the Saints extended their lead thanks to a close range effort from Bryne and a Goal of the Month contender from Forrester.

Forrester completed his hat-trick with eight minutes remaining.
