Bucko Praises Players

After seeing his Saint Patrick's Athletic side defeat Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght Stadium on a 4-0 scoreline, manager Liam Buckley was full of praise for his side's performance.

"We're delighted, it's a fantastic result. It's always a tough venue to come to. If Rovers are going to get a spot in Europe in the league they'll need to get results against your Derrys, Sligo and Dundalk so it was important we got something out of the game tonight," Buckley told stpatsfc.com.

"I've seen us play better. That said, the sendings-off had a major bearing on the game. But listen, we'll take it. I felt we could have got a penalty last week against Drogheda and it wasn't given. We've got one this week, we pushed on and we'll just move on from there."
