Saints Pleased With Win

Following the dramatic 3-1 win over Bray Wanderers in the Carlisle Grounds, manager Liam Buckley and Airtricity League Man of the Match Anto 'Bisto' Flood both expressed their delight of the Saints' victory.

"We could have done without the drama at 2-0 and just seen out the game. We weren't at our best this evening, I think last Friday [2-0 win against Dundalk] might have taken a little bit out of the guys both emotionally and physically. Fortunately we've another week, 8 days till we play UCD next," Buckley told stpatsfc.com.

For striker Flood, whose 37th minute goal gave the Saints the lead, the win was the all important thing rather than any plaudits he received for his own performance which saw him notch his seventh league goal of the season.

"Three points was what we came out for and was the main thing. We knew it would be a tough place to come as Bray are fighting relegation. It wasn't the best performance from the lads, but there's only four games left to go and it's all about the three points," Flood admitted to stpatsfc.com.
