Saints 4 - Athlone 0

Two goals in each half saw St Pat's run out comfortable winners against Athlone Town tonight in the SSE Airtricity League.

St Pat's took an early lead on 11 minutes when Keith Fahey's defence splitting pass found James Chambers and he diverted the ball past the onrushing Craig Sexton.

The Saints doubled their lead just before half-time when Christy Fagan scored his 8th goal of the season.

The third goal arrived after 75 minutes when Lee Lynch capitalised on Sexton's misfortune to tap into an empty net.

The 4th arrived two minutes later when Fagan scored his second of the match.
