Team News: Saints Vs Cork City (Friday, 7.45pm)
St Patrick's Athletic host newly crowned SSE Airtricity League champions Cork City on Friday night as they go in search of three points (kick-off 7.45pm).
The Saints go into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw away to Galway United last week, while Cork travel to Inchicore following a 0-0 draw against Derry City on Leeside.
Following two defeats against the league champions earlier in the season, manager Liam Buckley will be hoping for a reversal in fortunes against John Caulfield's Cork side who include former Saints Greg Bolger and Conor McCormack in their ranks.
In team news, the Saints will be without Graham Kelly who serves a one match suspension, while defender Darren Dennehy misses out with an ankle injury.
"Friday is another big game for us. We are welcoming the league champions to Richmond Park, but more importantly from our side of things, everyone is 100% focused on getting the three points," Buckley commented when speaking to stpatsfc.com.
"We battled really hard last week against a Galway team that played well, and we were unlucky not to come away with the three points. That said, we didn't dwell on it and all this week our focus has been on preparing to face Cork."
"It is our last home game of the season and we want to end on a high by getting the points as our supporters have been fantastic all season in getting behind the team and encouraging them. I know they will be there backing us all the way again come 7.45pm on Friday and hopefully we can get a positive result."
