Team News: Saints V Rovers
St Patrick's Athletic host Shamrock Rovers in Richmond Park on Friday night in their final Dublin derby of the 2018 SSE Airtricity League season (kick-off 7.45pm).
The Saints will be hoping for a repeat of their earlier 2-0 win in the season over the Hoops in Inchicore thanks to a penalty from Killian Brennan and an own goal from current Republic of Ireland international Graham Burke.
Ger O'Brien takes charge of the Saints once more as caretaker manager and will be hoping for a repeat of the level of performance which saw Pat's pick up a point away to the newly crowned league champions Dundalk last week.
In team news, Pat's have both Darragh Markey and Dean Clarke available for selection after the pair served their respective one match suspensions.
Striker Christy Fagan remains out with a knee injury, while Achille Campion faces a late fitness ahead of the game.
"We picked up a point last week in Dundalk and easily could have taken all three," O'Brien told stpatsfc.com when reflecting on last week's game which saw Conor Clifford's second half strike pegged back by a late Pat Hoban goal.
"If we had have been offered a point beforehand, we would have probably taken it but to go so close was disappointing. That said, we have moved on and all the focus now is on Friday night and being ready to face Shamrock Rovers."
"Friday is the last Dublin derby of the season and we know it is a game that the supporters on both sides are keen to win.
The players are no different. It doesn't matter whether it is the first game of the season or third last, the aim is always to win. In front of a bumper crowd in Inchicore on a Friday night, there is no extra motivation needed."
