SAINTS MBABAZI SET FOR FAREWELL

Fans can say goodbye to Charles Mbabazi Livingstone on Monday

WHILE the Eircom League Premier Division drama was played out in Richmond Park last night, this Monday night will see the curtain fall on another significant personal story.

Charles Mbabazi Livingstone will earn a deserved testimonial when Brian Kerr, a former Saints boss, manages his selection against a team led by current St Pat's boss Johnny McDonnell.

Livingstone was forced to retire in tragic circumstances after suffering a heart attack in last season's FAI Cup semi-final against Bohs.

Despite some optimistic soundings that he might be able to resume his career, the Ugandan international who had become such a crowd favourite in Inchicore, was this summer told to hang up his boots.

Admission is €10 and former Pat's greats, including Shels boss Pat Fenlon, will line out for Kerr's selection. And it may also be Paul Osam's last game as he seems likely to call time on his career this winter.

Having worked with the Inchicore community since the sudden end to his playing career, Livingstone's wife, Olivia, and beautiful children, Shivan and Charles Jnr, are re-locating back to Africa later this month.

And don't be at all surprised to see the winger make a late appearance in Monday night's match as he prepares to say an emotional farewell to these shores.
