Brian Shortall

    A native of Ballyfermot, Brian played schoolboy football for Cherry Orchard before signing up for the UCD scholarship programme.

    He is a versatile defender who can play anywhere across the back four.

    Brian signed for the Saints in November 2010 and will be a key part of Pete Mahon's squad for the 2011 season.

    The absence of Saints' captain Conor Kenna saw Brian form a solid central defensive partnership with Evan McMillan during the first half of the season.

    Signed for Shelbourne at the end of the 2011 season.
