Liam Buckley's playing career brought him from Dublin to Canada to Belgium to Spain to Switzerland and back to Dublin before retiring in 1998 while playing for Athlone Town.

Buckley had a successful spell for St Pat's between 1992 and 1997 scoring 11 goals in 55 appearances. Buckley was also a part of Brian Kerr's title winning side of 1996.

Buckley is currently at his second coaching spell at Richmond Park having coached the Saints between 1998 and 1999.

In 1998 the Saints won the league under Buckley and now during his second spell as manager he has lifted the League title, the FAI Cup, Leinster Senior Cup and the President's Cup.
