St Patrick's Athletic 0 - Dundee United 2

The start of this year's Nissan Festival of Football didn't result in a win for Pat Dolan's men, but a promising display from a new look team, gives much hope for the new season. Altogether there were five new debuts with Seamus Kelly and Ciaran Quinn starting in the first eleven.

Dundee United had three players on trial, so all-in-all it was an experimental game but both teams played with the right attitude as they tried to impress their respective managers.

Goals in each half of the game gave the away team the victory but Dolan will be happy with his players performance with Kelly, Quinn and Harris deserving high praise.

The Supersaints now face West Ham United on Sunday week, which is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
