THE BIG KICK-OFF

FOOTBALL IS BACK This weekend sees all our underage sides kick off their various seasons. We wish them all the best of luck and hope that the work they have been doing on the training pitch reflects in their performances in their first competitive matches of the new season.

Saturday sees the most games. An away trip to face Knocklyon United in Delaford Park at 12:00 sees our U10’s kick off their season. A local derby awaits our U11’s in their first ever competitive 11-a-side game away to St John Bosco in Benmadigan at 10:30.

The 12’s start off a feast of football in Brickfields on Saturday morning as they entertain Leixlip United at 10:30 that is followed by the U13’s game with St Joseph’s Boys at 11:30. The U14’s finish the day at 1:00 with the visit of Dunboyne.

Sunday sees the 15’s at home to Dunboyne at 11:00 while the 16’s and 17’s face away trips. Knocklyon United play host to the U16’s at 2:30 and our 17’s face a tough away game to Belvedere at 11:00 in Fairview Park.

Midweek games also start off next week with the 11’s at home to Raheny United at 6:30 on Monday. Wednesday sees the 13’s face an away trip to play Leiceister Celtic at 6:15 and a cracking tie is in prospect when our U17s play host to Cherry Orchard on Thursday also at 6:15.

Again we wish all our teams the best of luck and also our team’s various opposition.

As the Amstel ad would say “This season's gonna be grreeaaaat!!!”
