COACH EDUCATION DAY 3 COMPLETED

  • Fri, Sep 22, 2006 @ 14:00

Our Director of Youth Football Jason Carey has just overseen the final Coach Education Workshop for all our youth coaches as they completed Day 3 of our Coach Education Program in the lead up to the new season.

Many different aspects of the game were covered on the training pitch in Day 1 and Day 2 of the course some of the topics covered included attacking and defending as a team.

Day 3 covered other elements of coaching a football team - first aid, child protection, recent changes to the laws of the game and respecting match officials.

The combined effects and the value of all these workshops can be seen by the coaches and players at the club. Even in the short period of time since the course the quality of football being produced by all the teams has been fantastic.

Carey commented, “The coaches have responded magnificently to the challenges set out for them. Over the course of the season we hope to see both them and our players rewarded for all their hard work so far.”
