PRENDERVILLE RECOVERING AFTER OPERATION
Barry Prenderville went under the knife yesterday in an attempt to solve a long-standing ankle problem.
Barry suffered the injury last season and it was thought that rest during the off-season would cure the problem. However it flared up again and the decision was taken to have the ankle operated on to avoid any long-term problems.
stpatsfc.com spoke to Eamonn Collins and he is hopeful of a quick return.
“Barry had the operation yesterday and I spoke to him again this morning. Everything went well and all appears to be ok. Fingers crossed we’ll have Barry back playing in five to six weeks.”
Prenderville was one of Eamonn Collins first signings as Pats manager and made 39 appearances in all competitions last season.
